Devon Howard Mid-Length Eggs

A small part I had in Free Jazz Vein by Tin Ojeda aka @dirtymovies. More on the film: Free Jazz Vein is an experimental surf film shot on super 16mm film. In his latest work, Argentinian-born and US-based artist, Tin Ojeda, pursues his ongoing fascination with a vintage, 1970s filmmaking style inspired by period jazz album covers and movie posters.

Handmade

A tribute to DIY shaping featuring Ryan Burch, Tyler Warren, Jared Mell, Andrew Doheny and Zack Flores. Surfer rallied some of their favorite surfers who make and ride their own sticks, put them in an improvised shaping bay together (a barn in Northern California) and documented them tearing into foam.

Yater Apocalypse Fin

The Yater Apocalypse fin features the timeless simplicity, classic curves, and straight-forward functionality that Renny Yater is so well known for. A fin template that was as relevant 50 years ago as it is today, the design inherently complements so many aspects of longboarding. Available in 9.5" and 10.0", the Apocalypse fin provides plenty of hold, pivot and drive - the perfect conception of and exceptional longboard fin. This fin will transport your board to the iconic and effortlessly smooth surfing of the mid 60’s era. Wayne Rich and Chuck Ames explain the importance of the template.... This is a fin that we are truly excited to celebrate not only because of its performance, but also because of its heritage and historical relevance. The Apocalypse fin template is the same as the the original which was glassed-on to the surfboard Renny Yater was commissioned to shape in the early 60’s by screenwriter John Milius for the critically acclaimed film 'Apocalypse Now'. A fin template that will continue to transcend time and board design, the Apocalypse is a must-have classic that has been tried and true for close to six decades. Torren Martyn: Quiver

If you were to peek inside the garage of any pro surfer and rummage through their quiver, you'd likely a standard range of shapes: normal shortboards, grovelers, knifed-out barrel threaders, step-ups and a few "alternative shapes" for those wonky days.

Byron Bay style-master Torren Martyn is a pro surfer cut from a different cloth, and his seven-board quiver reflects his uniqueness. Ever since he stepped onto a twin fin a handful of years ago, he's been addicted to that twin-fin feeling and now his entire quiver is composed purely of twinnies.
